Checkinly

Attendance, without the clipboard.

Students and staff scan a printed QR code at the front desk to check in and out. You get a live list of who is here, a full attendance history, and a flag when a student keeps missing class.

What you get

  • Scan to check in and out

A USB scanner at the front desk reads each printed code. The first scan checks the person in. The next scan checks them out.

  • No code, no problem

Staff can search by name and check someone in or out by hand. Those entries are recorded as manual, so the CSV export tells them apart from scans.

  • Who is here right now

A live list for the front desk and the owner that updates on its own.

  • Attendance history

Filter by day, week, month or any date range, then export to CSV. Students and staff are kept in separate lists.

  • Absences

Each student's class days are compared with their actual visits. Students who keep missing are flagged for you.

  • Staff hours

Monthly hours for every employee, worked out from their scans.

  • Busy times

A chart of student visits over time, with your busiest hour and busiest day picked out.

  • Printed codes

Print one code or a whole sheet, with as many copies per person as you like.

  • Nightly backup

Each night, the previous day's records are saved automatically.

Your data stays separate

Every center gets its own database, so your records never share a place with another center's.

Checkinly stores names, class days and scan times. It does not collect parent emails or phone numbers.

What you need at the front desk

A computer with a web browser, a USB QR code scanner, and a printer for the codes. Nothing to install: Checkinly runs in the browser.
